Also new: a simpler petition card, and the top shot first on a troll
A petition now shows a goal line, Agree and Disagree side by side, and a bar that says which side you are signing for. A troll post puts its top shot above the rules.
Posts on CommonYard have fewer words on them now, so the thing to do stands out. Two cards changed the most.
Signing a petition
- How near the goal is is a thin line under the words, with how many are still needed beside it, like 188 to go.
- Your side is two buttons, Agree and Disagree, with a lock and Name kept private beside them. Agree is picked for you.
- The bar says which side you are signing for: Hold to sign · agree or Hold to sign · disagree. Press and hold it until it fills, as before.
- Once you have signed, the bar says SIGNED · AGREED or SIGNED · DISAGREED, with how many agreed and disagreed under it and Share it to pass it on.
See Sign a petition.
Taking a shot at a troll
A troll post now shows the TOP SHOT first, then the rules, then Take your shot. Its top line shows how hot it is with peppers, like 🌶️🌶️, instead of the word.

- Under a post, the emoji people reacted with stand on their own, without the word “Reactions”.
