Play Guess the Number

Each of you locks in a secret number, then you take turns calling the other's. Every call comes back higher or lower. Play a friend, another yard, or the house.

Updated

Guess the Number is a duel. You both lock in a secret number, then take turns calling the other’s. Every call comes back HIGHER or LOWER, and the range you have left gets smaller. Crack their number first and you win.

A Guess the Number duel: both players' shots used, the clock, the range left on their number, and the keypad for your next call
Every call tells you: higher, or lower.

Challenge a friend

  1. Tap GAMES, then the TEAMS door, and tap Guess the Number.
  2. Under WHO ARE YOU PLAYING?, search for your friend by username — or choose Anyone with the link to send a link yourself.
  3. Pick THE RANGE: 1–100 (quick), 1–500 or 1–1,000 (a marathon).
  4. Pick the SHOT CLOCK: 30 sec to play live, 2 min to take it easy, or 1 day to play across the week.
  5. Choose WHO CAN WATCH: Invite only or Public.
  6. Tap Challenge. Your friend gets a notification; Nudge them if they’re slow.
  7. Pick your secret number on the keypad and tap Lock it in. Not sure? Tap RANDOM.
  8. When both numbers are in, the duel starts. On your turn, type a number and tap Call it. SPLIT fills in the number halfway through what’s left.

How it ends

  • The first to crack the other’s number wins.
  • Each side has a set number of shots — the top of the screen shows 2/15 SHOTS, for example. If the one who went first cracks it, the other gets one last shot to level it.
  • Miss the clock and you lose the turn. Miss it three times in a row and the duel goes to the other side.
  • When it’s over, you see both numbers, and you can tap Rematch.

Play alone

Under PLAY ALONE, Guess the Number is a run against the house: guess its number to clear a level. Each level has bigger numbers and fewer calls, and your best run goes into the hall of fame.

Yard against yard

A yard’s owner or admin can challenge another yard from the yard’s own GAMES page. Members join their yard’s roster and take shots for the yard.
