Your yard's games and ladder

Inside a yard, GAMES is that yard's own — what's on now and coming up, what the yard did together this week, challenges against other yards, games members made, and what the yard has already played.

Updated

On the whole Yard, GAMES opens the games board for everyone. Inside a yard, GAMES on the bar opens that yard’s own games page: only its games, its people and its results — nothing from other yards.

Inside a yard, GAMES is the yard’s own.

What’s on it

  • On now and Coming up — the yard’s games that are live, and the ones about to start. Tap one to take a seat.
  • This week. — what the yard did together, like 12 people took part · 140 things done. Every vote, reply and game counts, and nobody is ranked. Under it, only you see your own week, like You: 9 things · 41 points. Switch between THIS WEEK and LAST WEEK.
  • Against other yards — take the yard on against another one, in Troll War or Guess the Number. An owner or admin sends the challenge; anyone else can tap Ask the admins.
  • In the yard — games the yard’s own people play together, like Squad Trivia, and rounds members make for the yard.
  • Already played — what the yard played to the end, newest first: its battles, duels and nights.

Make a game for the yard

Anyone in the yard can make a game for it — a quiz, a word scramble, Sasabonsam. If you’re an owner or admin it goes up at once. If you’re a member, the yard’s admins are asked first, and you’re told what they say. See Make a game.

For owners and admins

When a member makes a game for the yard, it waits under Requests, at the top of the yard’s games page, with who made it and when it starts. Tap Allow and it goes up in the yard, or Turn down and it doesn’t. A request nobody answers before its start time lapses; its maker can set a new time to ask again.

Good to know

  • The week starts over every Monday.
  • Game winners still have their own boards and posters.
  • To play with everyone on CommonYard, not just your yard, go back to the whole Yard and tap GAMES there. See Play games on CommonYard.
