Play Troll War
Two sides trade their best comebacks in the arena, and the crowd's reactions decide who wins. Challenge a friend by username, or take on another yard.
Troll War is a battle of comebacks. Two corners face each other in the arena — one against one, or teams — and post their best lines: words, photos, videos or voice notes. The people watching decide who wins.
How it works, in four pictures
The first time you set up a battle or open one, a short card explains Troll War: Two teams, Troll each other, Everyone else judges, Most 🔥 wins. Tap Got it — or Set up my battle if you came to make one. To see it again, tap How it works in the lobby, or the ⓘ, How Troll War works, while you set one up.
How a winner is decided
- Every reaction on a comeback is a point for that comeback’s corner, and the score shows as it lands.
- When the clock runs out, the corner with more reactions wins. Level scores are a draw.
- Fighters can’t react in the arena — only the crowd can.
- Every battle has the same rules sheet, and the host can add up to three house rules before the bell. Taking a seat means you agree to them.
Challenge a friend
- Tap GAMES, then the TEAMS door.
- Under Troll War, tap With friends, then Start a Troll War.
- Search for your friend by username — anyone on CommonYard can be challenged — and pick them. They get a notification. Or tap Invite with a link and send it yourself.
- Still waiting? Tap Remind to send it again. You can remind once every half hour.
- When they take their seat, you’re told, and the battle can start.
Yard against yard
Under Troll War, tap Yard battle to take your yard on against another one: pick your yard and theirs, and their admin accepts. Both teams fill their seats and get ready.
