Post an opinion — a confession, a hot take, a question — without your name. Other people see Anonymous and a mask; you still see it's yours, and still hear about replies.
Updated
Some things are easier to say without your name on them. An opinion can go out anonymously: other people see Anonymous and a mask instead of your name and photo.
Steps
Tap the round + at the bottom of the screen.
Under ASK PEOPLE TO, tap Weigh in, and pick a form — Confession, for example.
Write it.
Switch on Post anonymously. The switch says Shown as Anonymous with a mask. Nobody sees it’s you.
Check the line at the bottom: it says “anonymous”. Tap Post.
Switch it on before you post.
What people see
The card shows a mask and Anonymous where your name and photo would be. There’s no way to open your profile from it.
Replies, reactions and sides work as on any other post.
What you see
Your own anonymous post says You · anonymous, so you know it’s yours.
You still get notifications when people reply to it.
It’s in What you made with your other posts, marked Anonymous, where you can edit or delete it. See What you made.
Good to know
Only opinions — the posts you make with Weigh in — can go out anonymously.
Decide before you post: an anonymous post can’t be given your name later, and a named one can’t be made anonymous.
Anonymous isn’t a way around the rules. An anonymous post can be reported like any other, and the people who run CommonYard can still act on it. See Stay safe on CommonYard.
